• The Early Years

Nse was born in Nigeria and raised in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia. As a proud naturalized citizen, Nse’s experience as part of an immigrant family living in the deep south has shaped her commitment to civil and human rights. At the age of 14, Nse served as a page for the Georgia House of Representatives.

Nse is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, and the University of Dayton School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor degree.

  • My Career

As an activist and organizer, Nse has spent her career working to build power and advocate for marginalized communities. For the past seven years, Nse has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the New Georgia Project (NGP) and the New Georgia Project Action Fund (NGPAF), leading a team of culture creators, organizers, activists and thinkers to build a movement home for the young folks and people of color. With Nse at the helm, NGP has helped register nearly 600,000 Georgians voters.

Across her career and life, Nse has been dedicated to creating impact and change around issues that center civil, human and workers’ rights.

Prior to joining NGP, Nse was an Assistant Executive Director for the Canadian Association of University Teachers, Canada’s largest faculty union Additionally, she was the Senior Lobbyist and Government Relations Officer for the American Association of University Professors.

  • My Life

Nse is a fluent French and English speaker, but talks to talk when it comes to anything regarding voting, women in politics, women empowerment, sunglasses, sneakers and R&B. Truly inspired by her parents work ethic, Nse realized very prematurely that the nation desperately needed her love, wisdom and attention.

Nse currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is continuously putting herself in the midst of social and political change. Charmed with jokes and sarcastic humor, Nse will tell it like it is wherever she goes. Whether Nse has on Jordan 1s or a pantsuit, Nse will guide southern states of the nation into a new fate and continue to fight for the country that we deserve.

I want people to be courageous and have courageous conversations with us acknowledging where we are right now, and how we move the country forward.
